I once knew a woman who claimed her son was allergic to ranch dressing.
She didn’t claim he was allergic to any specific ingredient in ranch dressing, and corrected me when I suggested it.
He could apparently eat literally any other food on the planet without issue.
But he was allergic to ranch dressing.
I think about this now and then.
